Those Were The Days, My Friend.

When I was young (let’s say around 19 years old) I used to ride to work every day as I had no car. I used to do 16 miles every day, up and down large hills. Strangely, 12 years on, I don’t seem to still have that same level of fitness. Yesterday’s journey to work felt like riding through porridge, today felt better but I didn’t have the legs to get up Dowdeswell Hill in one stint. I’m hoping to make it 3 for 3 tomorrow and then rest Thurs and Fri as there is a rumoured trip to Afan this Saturday so I need to feel slightly fresh.

Still, my bike will be faster on the way home as the new brakes I ordered (Avid Single Digit SL and Speed Dial 7) have just arrived so lunchtime will be spent attaching them to Sin:Dee. New bits always make the bike a bit faster.

I spent most of this weekend decorating the old office at home. My first two years of self-employment were spent in that room and it’s nice to have finally decorated it and turned it into a guest room - it feels like I have officially turned my back on those days. Anne’s influence can bee seen in the addition of a pink desk. Honestly, there is no escape from the pink onslaught!

Mudz moved out on Saturday. It’s been cool having her around - she is a great laugh and really easy to get on with. We’ll miss her but at the same time it’s nice to have our house back having had a lodger in one form or another for about the last 6 months.

Right, I’d better get on with some work. Laters.

P.S. I love the new Aurea TV from Philips - think of it as Ambilight+.

No no I think yesterday was generally a bad bike day… I really struggled to get to and from uni (all 20 mins of the ride each way) for no apparent reason. Today I am in bed poorly recovering!! Well actually I think I have a touch of freshers something-or-other…
Nothing wrong with the pink onslaught, fantastic! Go Anne!

I was just reading Creative Review and was reminded of this post. Philips have some clever Aurea-based sponsorship going on there, surrounding the whole page with a nice glow.
