Brat vs Coupé
Man, what a morning. So far I have taken a 50 minute bus ride to Gloucester, walked 25 minutes to the garage to pick up my Fiat Coupé after it’s MOT, paid the £225 for the necessary work, started to drive it back, heard a knocking sound coming from the engine bay, done a U-turn, dropped the car back at the garage (where it will probably be for about a week now while a couple of engine mounts are replaced), caught the bus back to the ‘Nam, caught a lift to work with Kev, unwrapped my new pink chopper and had a cup of coffee.
Only the last part was enjoyable!
I suspect that the next bill for fixing the Coupé will be huge as the whole engine needs to come out to replace one of the mounts. Pete (the guy that runs the awesome Cloverleaf garage) said he’ll need to work on the car for about three days to sort it.
In other news, there has been no work on the Brat (Kev has pretty much finished his). There might be some progress tonight but I can’t guarantee that. It’s much cheaper and easier to work on that than it is to work on my actual car!
there’s the answer, sit in the flatbed on the brat and control your way to work
September 6th, 2007 at 9:17 amI wish I could. I just need that shrinker ray from “Honey I Shrunk The Kids” and then I’m set.
Although I suspect that my battery would run out before I got to the ‘Ford!
