…In A Brewery
Last night Team Five Blue Gherkins gathered to plan what was happening this weekend for the TwentyFour12. We gathered in a pub. Not sure that was the best place to have a planning meeting and certainly staying there until 11:30pm was not a great idea. Ah well.
We seem to have planned for every eventuality. I remember the days when I would have just said “I have a bike and a sleeping bag - what more do I need?” but it seems with age comes the need to plan for every eventuality. Unfortunately my planning hasn’t really involved doing any riding in preparation for the event itself. Bugger.
I am pretty excited about it and I reckon it’ll be a laugh but I do think that it’ll be a weekend of suffering! I need to buy some kevlar tyre liners tonight though - apparently the course is thorntastic.
