Itchy and Scratchy

Haven’t written in a while. Can be arsed to go into too much detail about what’s been going on so here is an abbreviated version:

  1. I turned 31 on 29th June
  2. A group of 7 of us went to a cottage in the Brecons to celebrate
  3. It threw it down for most of the time we were there
  4. I won the Murder Mystery thingummy we did (along with Mudiwa)
  5. I had an allergic reaction to some fabric plasters I had on my feet
  6. I haven’t been able to wear shoes for almost a week now
  7. I had to drop out of Raj’s stag weekend (barefoot paintball? No thanks)
  8. I’m now sat at work. On a Saturday.

To make it even more annoying, the weather is pretty good out right now - it’s not raining or threatening to rain and the wind is only gale force one. The sun even shone earlier. And I’m not cycling. Ah well, check out my allergic foot!

Fabric Plasters are nasty

It’s Twentyfour12 next week. I am approximately 7% prepared.

Addendum: Folding Stars by Biffy Clyro sounds very similar to Radio On by Ricky Ross. Just thought I’d mention it.

    Ouch, looks painful!
    Good luck at 24/12 :)

  2. Olly Says:

    Mate, that’s lovely :(

You probably don’t want to hear that I was out biking in the sun today. We weren’t far from you at one point - we followed a cheeky trail that popped out at the bottom of Dowdeswell hill. About a million miles later my legs hurt :)

No WAY?! I am also allergic to elastoplast and had exactly the same reaction!!! I feel your pain… Try calamine lotion or an anti-histamine… xxxx

  4. Owen Says:

SimonB - Cheers chap. I expect there’ll be some photos soon once the pain of that much riding has subsided!

Olly - you are right, I didn’t want to hear that! Still at least one of us is going to be slightly fit ready for Twentyfour12! I’m relying on you…

NaiT - It’s never happened to me before. I’m hoping it’s just the fabric plasters that cause this. I have some hardcore anti-histamines and some hydracortisone cream that seem to be clearing it up. A little slowly for my liking though…

  5. Lau Says:

I too, am allergic to fabric plasters and was in agony the first time!!! Poor Owen- get well soon!!!

  6. sara Says:

Oh my. That looks nasty. I hope you get better soon!!
