Thorn In My Side(wall)
Despite feeling knackered (with a capital Knack) I rode to work this morning. Yesterday was lovely and the ride to and from work was enjoyable due to the sunshine, lack of wind and good company. This morning it was grey, windy and solitudinous.
Anyway, I finally left the house and started to roll across town. Half-way through Sandford park the back end starts squirreling. Great. I have a puncture. In fact I have a thorn the size of a knitting needle embedded in my skinny tyre. In fact, it was so long that it punctured the tube on both sides. Nice. Still, I got to have a sit in the park, fixing my tube while watching people walking past with their dogs on leads and the contents of their dog’s bowels in bags.
Hmm, I don’t really get dog ownership. You get to own a creature that smells, barks, moults and you have to pick up it’s poo and carry it round in silly little bags. Where is the appeal in that?

June 6th, 2007 at 1:19 pmAlthough I am only half an 80’s kid, I have been listening to various classics recently such as “Jump” by Van Halen and “The Way it is” by Bruce Hornsby … Also a bit of Talk Talk!! The shame…
