Wet Helmet

Wet Helmet

Hmm, I may have chosen the wrong day to ride to work - the rain is rubbish. I’m hoping it’ll hold off until I get home tonight.

Not liking being a Mac user today. Apple mail was rubbish at doing anything with attachments so I switched to Thunderbird but that keeps telling me I have new mail when I blatantly don’t. REALLY ANNOYING. In fact, I may switch back to Apple Mail and just put up with the attachment thing.

I’m finding switching from Windows harder than I expected - just lots of little things that I knew how to do before which now I have no idea about. Also, what with using the OPTION key all the time? Why not use CTRL which is common to both OS’s and actually better placed for ease of use?

Bah, today sucks.

Where’s it telling you about new mail?

My version of Thunderbird doesn’t do that.
and it;s a million times better than mail.app.

I find option better placed than CTRL, you have PC fingers, you just need to reconfigure yourself.

It is telling me I have new mail on the TBird icon itself (the little green circle with the number in).

I’ve tried downgrading to 1.5 (2 has just come out) but it appears to be doing the same thing.

I think it might be to do with the Junk Mail filtering. Maybe. I don’t know - it’s all a bit pants.

CTRL is brilliantly place for pinkie usage - OPTION requires thumb usage which I no like.

I have switched back to Apple Mail now as it is the less annoying of the two.

Noooooooo Thunderbird is sooooo much better!!! Try agin!! Seriously Apple mail will pee you off! Tbird does multiple accounts etc and works really well xxx

Apple Mail does multiple accounts too and, to be honest, I don’t really see what the problem is with it. I would have happily stuck with TBird but having had 1.5 and 2 have the same bug I ditched it. I can’t be doing with it telling me I have new mail, only to find that I don’t.
