Hogging the Lime Light
Trek (purveyors of fine bikes) have released a crazy three-speed, automatic-shifting city bike type thing called the Lime. It looks odd and sounds odd but is, according to Trek, easy to ride.
Sounds crazy eh? Check out the Lime site for more detail (it’s all Flash though so if you don’t have it, don’t bother clicking).

March 29th, 2007 at 2:59 pmI now have an obscenely green desktop background
March 30th, 2007 at 10:04 amI like the idea of the Lime, ISTR other companies are involved in some kind of thingy of companues where they get together and do all similar products but share the core technology - yes I wrote it out as I can;t recall the name of such an organisation of separate groups.

March 30th, 2007 at 10:23 ami like the idea, but I think it would only really work in a bikecentric environment, such as Portland in the USA, which is mega bikecentric and places like Holland, the UK, no one cares enough… unfortunately
Is it sad that we did exactly the same thing as each other?
April 2nd, 2007 at 7:44 amNot as sad as me downloading two of them and shopping them together to form a massive wallpaper to run across my two monitors…
April 2nd, 2007 at 10:21 amWhat’s the pricetag on one of these. The fancy schmancy treks always intimidated me but I didn’t want to get a crap bike that would hurt my butt. so I didn’t get anything. This looks doable though!
April 3rd, 2007 at 11:20 amAccording to google,…
You can probably swap the $ for a £ or € though
