Goodbye 2006

Yesterday was my last ride of 2006 as I don't have the time or energy to go out and battle with the hurricane currently blowing around the Nam. I owned the tramway again as well as the nasty kick at the end of DPA but after almost five miles of uphill I was in serious need of of some Traveller's Rest!

Just what I needed

That is all uphill

I managed to do three different loops around the top of Leckhampton Hill, taking in all the usual sights including some very slippery downhill tracks built by the trail pixies. The weather just about held until I decided it was time to head home at which point the heavens opened. I haven't been so wet and filthy since that night in Cleethorpes with those, oh, er, sorry, I shouldn't talk about that. Needless to say I needed hosing down by the time I got back to the Clayhouse.

Misty eyed over the Nam

2006 - How Was It For You?

So 2006 has been a pretty good year for me. I travelled to the other side of the planet to take in South West Australia and Brunei. I got a brand new Orange 5 Pro XT for the grand total of £100 thanks to some thieving scumbags and the insurance company. I moved out of my home office to a nice big office (rent free) about eight miles away where I proceeded to make good friends with the people who work there. I took a trip to Barcelona for a few days. I got fit by cycling to work semi-regularly. I became an uncle for the second time.

The only real blot on the year was the death of my gran so I can't really complain about the past 365 days.

2007 - What Next?

So in the next year I hope that my business keeps growing to an extent that I can take on staff. I hope that it continues to interest me. I hope that I can move out of town and into the country. I hope that I can continue to be a good friend to people, maybe an even better one. I hope that I can become a bit more of a success for God rather than the part-timer I am now. I hope to get a Wii. I hope Man Utd win the Premiership. I hope I'll be happy.

For Everyone Else

For everyone who happens by this little site I wish you a Happy New Year. I hope that you find success and happiness in the next 12 months (hell, and beyond!) and that life is rewarding rather than a chore.
