Nanny
I'm feeling a little glum today. My Gran (Nanny) passed away yesterday. She had cancer for a while and it finally took her at about 4pm.
I have no tears. I don't know why but crying isn't really something I do. She was my last grandparent and probably the one of whom I have the fondest memories. She taught me how to play billiards, always had sweets, typed the stories my sister and I made up as children and pressed ten pound notes into my palm as I kissed her goodbye.
Goodbye one more time, Nanny.

December 13th, 2006 at 11:09 amHi dude. Sorry about your Nanny. Don’t worry about the tears thing. The funeral will take care of that for you. Same thing happened fro me when my Granda passed away earlier this year. You’ll find your own way to greive and remeber her that feels right to you.

Death is an inveitable part of life so I can’t really complain about it. I know Nanny was ready to go and I’ll see her again so I can’t be too sad really.

Sorry to hear about that Owen. I know you thought it was coming soon. At least you got that last trip in to see her!
