Married Again
Yay! I have a wife again! She has already proved herself worthy of love by cooking me a roast dinner on Sunday to welcome me back from my ride. Lucky old me. However, I am still really jealous of her trip to Canadia. I did get a nice big Vancouver Starbucks mug though and I have also discovered that a big latte with a shot of maple syrup in is lush!

Yeah, that ride on Sunday. It was a bit windy. And wet. And slippery. I managed to convince James to come out with us again and it was hilarious watching him slide around on Cindy2 seeing as I haven't fitted winter tyres to her yet! It was OK though as the ride was punctuated by cries of "YES!" as he rode bits right on the edge of being in control. I rode up the tramway for the first time in about three years and felt alright at the end of it (which was a pleasant surprise). We got absolutely covered and drenched to the skin but it was a really good ride. It's been a while since I've ridden with someone who is just discovering how fun offroading is and it makes the whole experience much more enjoyable!
I have spent some time this afternoon trying to track down a 1992 Marin Palisades Trail frame as I fancy building one up (it was my first ever mountain bike).
I'm also enjoying the second season of Dead Like Me which I got from my friend the internet. I don't think season 2 is coming out on R2 DVD so I have to make do with watching the TV rips.
Hmm, I just noticed that top of my To Do list for tomorrow is “Remove nuts”. Should be an interesting day.
Was pretty awful on Sunday, Top marks for getting out.
December 11th, 2006 at 5:07 pmI’ve not seen Dead Like Me for aaaages, since I stopped Sky, so that’s 20 months.. It was enjoyable.
December 11th, 2006 at 9:07 pmRemoving WHAT?! *shock*
December 11th, 2006 at 10:07 pmRemove nuts?
A fuller and less pain inducing answer is required I feel.
sry for not coming out:
December 12th, 2006 at 7:50 amI’m: lazy, unfit and trying to earn “fattest man in the world” titles.
I’m also a bad friend.
SimonB - Olly and I looked at the weather and played the “Who will chicken out first?” game. Neither of us did though so the ride went ahead!
Matt - if you fancy season 2 I can arrange for it to mysteriously appear on your doorstep.
Mrs Nai T - I have to remove some nuts from a product image; what were you thinking of?
SBG - A lanky streak of nothing like you has a looooong way to go before earning fattest man in the world.
December 12th, 2006 at 9:19 amVancouver is awesome. You should be jealous.
December 20th, 2006 at 11:28 amI still own a Marin Palisades, which was bought for me as a birthday present in 1991…. Reasonble condition, some slight rust to the frame
