Old Skool Ride

Jakob has already written some words about Saturday's ride. Here are some stats:
- Miles ridden: 27.7 (I think)
- Hours riding: 5.5 (man, we were slow)
- Knees broken: 2.5
- Punctures: 0 (amazingly)
- Inches of rainfall: 84
- Brushes with death: 2
- Cakes eaten: 1 (I didn't have one
) - Days to recover: 2 (and counting)
- Speed percentage reduction due to wet trails: 83.4
- Tonnes of mud washed from bike/person at the end: 1.27
We only managed half the ride we had planned but it was flinking hard work. That said we had a great time.
On Sunday we had Wei (of Brunei wedding fame) for lunch. Well, not for lunch; we're not cannibals. On a business trip to the UK she dropped by for roast chicken and pork with all the trimmings. Also present were Chris, Olly and Tracey but not Brett as he chose to ride instead (which is a pretty poor show considering he hasn't seen Wei for a couple of years).
We had much laughter and catching up and then watched the Grand Prix.
All in all a great weekend actually. I need some more sleep now though.
