Ha ha - it’s great seeing everyone climb on their high-horse about Man Utd.

I’m not arguing the point about Man Utd being a brand, I am merely pointing out that the Glazers PR person has made quite an error of judgement.

Man U have been a brand for years, from bed sheets to lunch boxes to energy drinks they are marked for all they are worth. The Glazers are just being less subtle about it thats all.

If you dont like football clubs that sell out then you follow the wrong club. Mind you there isn’t much choice left if you take that attitude. Follow Cheltenham, much better, hehe oh we all come from Cheltenhamshire and we can drive a tractor, ooh ar, ooh ar ooh ar ooh ar

That’s not the point I was making - the fans disliked them because they think they only see it as a business. Saying things like this only reinforces that and they are not going to win anyone over.

Of course it’s a brand. They sell millions of shirts, shorts, socks and all manner of other gubbinses worldwide, just because they say Manchester United on them.

Oh, and they play football from time to time, too.
