Flinkin' Traffic
I like driving. I make no apology for the fact that I think cars are good (although the burning of fossil fuels to power them is not so good). Unfortunately people are not so good. The human race doesn't know how to cope with any form of transport other than a car.
OK, there is an element of the pot calling the kettle black here as I drove to work yesterday due to the fact that I was still knackered after the weekend and it was raining. This morning I had to drive again as I had to bring Anne's PC to work with me so Sony could pick it up to fix it (again - but that's another story though).
"I'll leave early and get into work for 8:30am so I have half an hour before everyone else starts for the day." I sagely thought to myself. I'm out of the door by 8:05am. I get to work at 8:50am. Yep, it took me 45 minutes to get here - that's the longest commute I've had so far, including the trips on my bike.
Being a man I had to blame someone so today Sony are at fault for not fixing Anne's PC when we paid them to do so, thus forcing me to carry it to work again.
Tomorrow I shall be cycling and feeling unfit but getting to work quicker. And I expect it'll be raining.
On the plus side, Deborah is coming to share my office for a few weeks until she can move into her new house so it should be fun!
I love transport!!! And you know, I had a chance to drive almost all kinds of transport, plus “live” ones, I mean horses and donkeys!!! A very great experience I’ve had recently riding the camel in the Emirates!!! It’s super!!! I advice you to try it!!! I’ve heard a lot unpleasant things about the camels, as splitting, but luckily, the camel I rode was very calm and friendly!!! I loved it so much that couldn’t stay for a long time in the Dubai hotel and ran to the camel to say good morning to it!!! Like a child, you say?
