End of an Era
Tomorrow I move out of my house. No, I'm not leaving Anne. I am moving to a new office. After over a year and a half working from home I have found an office to work in. I shall be trading under the name Marble Cake and hopefully will be doing incredibly well by this time next year. Owen Clay Designs will be no more and www.eggsbox.co.uk will be retired or become something else.
I have a shed load of work to do and I haven't even thought about designing my new brand yet but I have an office and with any luck this time tomorrow I will have a new phone line and internet connection. I may set up a web cam but only if I can be arsed. Until then, this is my office.

Wish me luck.
Good luck dude. May you be prosperous and have people working for you soon.
September 13th, 2006 at 12:34 pmLuck?? What’s that? 0:-) All the best with the new venture, I’ll be popping in to trade some cake! xx
September 13th, 2006 at 1:56 pmAhh the cake thing… I see. Need any staff? :-p
September 13th, 2006 at 2:08 pmWhy, you know of anyone?
September 13th, 2006 at 2:11 pmGood luck
September 13th, 2006 at 2:13 pmWoo! Best of luck dude! That’s a good name too, I approve
What’s the commute like?
September 13th, 2006 at 2:56 pmHave you got the domain yet?
September 13th, 2006 at 5:18 pmI do indeed own http://www.marblecake.co.uk but haven’t had the time to do anything with it as yet, not even set up an e-mail address!
Olly - cheers for the OH Seal Of Approval. The commute shouldn’t be too bad. Once I am feeling less crappy (I have my usual post-holiday malady) I shall be attempting it on the new Sin:Dee. See how all the pieces fit together?
September 13th, 2006 at 6:13 pmGood luck with the new office. I always find starting new projects exciting and this is a pretty cool project.
September 14th, 2006 at 9:05 amMuch congrats on the new office. Have you thought about getting any chairs? And I think I can safely say that there’s no way you’re getting that Van through the door. You’re goning to need to open the other one as well. Seems you have the WD40 situation covered though. Will give you a call soon. No baby as yet. Any day now though.
September 14th, 2006 at 10:29 amGood luck, sir… i see you can ride your bike right into the office, no tricky stairs to negotiate! nice!
September 14th, 2006 at 11:22 amOK, I’m kind of in. The office move isn’t happening today due to the fact that I feel horrendous. However, BT have got their act together and the phone line and broadband are sorted, I am writing this from the office now.
Joe - The WD40 is just for emergencies but it does look like I’m expecting lots of them. The van is in but I do now need new glass and doors.
Matt - yeah, I might have to open the door first though.
September 14th, 2006 at 1:30 pm“Matt - yeah, I might have to open the door first though.”
It’s already open!
September 14th, 2006 at 2:58 pmD’oh!
So the new move date is now Monday. I managed to find a willing
mughelper who just happened to have hired a van for the weekend that doesn’t need to be back until 2pm on Monday - yay me!Hopefully my snotfest will have subsided by then.
September 14th, 2006 at 5:12 pmGood luck duder.
I see 6 chairs, a leather sofa and a table. Will marblecake be a network gaming venture… Oh… Spoil sport.
Is the broadband attached now?
Have you come to your sense about riding up Andoversford Hill?
Are you going to be the fittest fat bloke in Chelters?
Is your new office is in the ‘pre-disastered’ area?
Olly: do you think he was running some form of focus group when he put up that pic of marble cake? He’s a sneaky one!
September 15th, 2006 at 8:45 amNetwork gaming - hmm, now there’s a thought…
The broadband is indeed set up and ready to go. I still intend to ride to work as much as possible although I am slightly apprehensive about doing so in the winter/dark. As for the fittest fat bloke - it’s easy to point the finger when you are gangly thin bloke isn’t it?
Also, I wish I was that sneaky - instead I was just bored! I thought that Olly would like it, mainly because it involves cake.
September 15th, 2006 at 1:42 pmYou thought right.
I ate cake today. No marbles in it though.
The winter commute should be fine - find back roads, use lots of lights, wear bight/reflective clothing, pedal like a maniac. Sorted. Or just take the laptop home and work from there
September 15th, 2006 at 3:24 pmHey - I got an emal from Play
September 15th, 2006 at 4:43 pmThe Wii Mate is avail from 08/12/06 and “our price: £179.99 Delivered”

September 17th, 2006 at 3:10 pmThat’s awesome Owen. Good luck to you! I will certainly be thinking of you!
