Weon

So we've been back for just under a week now. I would've written sooner but this week has been a bit mental. We landed at 6:30am on Monday and I was working by 1pm. I have a mountain of work to catch up on but it's all good as it'll help to pay off the holiday! While I was away I had my first full-page advert designed for USN published in Men's Fitness magazine - it might not sound like much but it's a national magazine and USN are a multinational company. How did I manage that? Well, I reckon there was some divine intervention in there somewhere.

While we were away our friend Claire ("Chavs") stayed in our house for a couple of weeks to save her commuting to the Nam from Swansea every day. She has now stopped work for a while because her baby is due to arrive in about 4 days! When she left, our other friend Nae moved in. She'll be here slightly longer, probably for a couple of months. It's nice having the space that we can help people out when they need somewhere to stay - plus I am pretty sure it'll be a real fun time with her here (although she does appear to be the busiest person in the world so she is here to eat and sleep and very little else!)

The World Cup kicked off on Friday with a predictable win for Germany (although if their defence is that shaky throughout then they won't come out victorious) and continued yesterday with a highly unconvincing win for England (what happened in the second half?) and a very good draw for Trinidad and Tobasco. We had 15 people in our house for the game followed by a barbeque which was manic but good fun. Finding time to work over the coming month is going to be tricky with so much football on but I'm sure I'll cope!

I've started typing up some of my notes from our travels so they'll go up on here fairly soon.

For Sale - Ford Fiesta 1.3

Nae is selling her car. It's a 1.3 litre Ford Fiesta encore in dark metallic blue. It's a P reg and has 73,000 miles on the clock. It's fun to drive (I know because I took it for a spin) and in pretty good nick. If you are interested, let me know via a comment and I'll get Nae to contact you.
