For the uninitiated and disinterested. This is a competition for SEOs. I reckon it is a waste of time for all concerned, but if the money goes to a charity, then you have my vote.
As the guy behind the celiac charity web site in the SEO contest, I’ll chime in with a few comments.
1. Yep Sean, lotta snake oil in the SEO business - no argument there - beating the Black Hat SEO’s at their own game would be SWEET!
2. Good to be skeptical Pete - there ARE tons of scams out there and I welcome that. Please take a look at my contest entry site - talks quite a bit about the University of Maryland Center for Celiac Research … and in fact, my name is not even listed (it’s not about me) so I’m going to have a tough time collecting if I win. **AND** go look at this page on the CFCR web site where they endorse what I’m doing. if you have any other doubts, call their Operations Director Pam King (number is on THEIR site) and check with her.
3. My two kids have Celiac - they are the ones pictured next to the Hulk. I.e. this isn’t the charity of the month for me, but something I live with everyday - it’s personal so I support it.
4. Thank you for whoever submitted this to you guys and thank you blog owner for allowing it to be posted. My Email address is on the FAQ at that site and I would welcome a note from you and/or anyone else.
Weon is otherwise known as Owen. He is trying to make it as a web and graphic designer (marblecake.co.uk). When he gets time he does archery, watches movies, drinks beer and pushes cats off fences. He sometimes rides his bike too but not as often as he should.
Hah..
Cheers duder.

No worries. I knew exactly what I was clicking on before I clicked as I trust Weon not to allow spam on his own blog. It’s quite a good idea TBH.
