Who Woulda Thunk It
At the risk of this blog turning into an all-out marriage appreciation site, I have some more (rather excellent) news. Somehow, this chap

has managed to convince this lovely lady

that it would be a great idea to get married. I don't know how he did this. It possibly involved drugs and it definitely involved him promising to deck the garden before next summer.
Seriously though guys, I am really happy for you!
That’s not the Helen I asked [:S]
October 18th, 2005 at 11:09 amIn an effort not to sound to girly or soppy, on actually hearing this news myself left me with a little warm feeling inside. I don’t think it was because I’d wet my pants or anything, so it must be out of genuine happiness for both Pete & Helen?
Thus the realisation of knowing that two people who love each are taking that next step in their relationship… When you see the two together, it has been my opinion that this next step seemed almost inevitable and somewhat obvious and I think that is an opinion that is widely shared by anyone who knows them.
Which I think is a testament to the two of them and their relationship. And I’d just like to extend Owens best wishes to you both!
October 18th, 2005 at 11:36 amI concur with everything that Raj "Barry White" Patel says. Except the bit about his questionable bladder control.
October 18th, 2005 at 11:41 amAye, what they said
October 18th, 2005 at 12:53 pmThanks Raj.
October 18th, 2005 at 1:28 pmAlways said Pete would make someone a lovely wife one day.
Seriously chuffed for you, mate. Helen, what are you thinking?
October 18th, 2005 at 4:21 pmI don’t know you guys, but that’s awesome! Congratulations. Being married is pretty damn cool. I recently had my 11th wedding anniversary!

October 19th, 2005 at 11:38 amBah humbug.
Marriage is an institution.. Mind you… I think Pete ought to be in an instituion so I think it is a great idea… Especially if Helen is Pete’s warden

October 20th, 2005 at 1:44 pm[…] hap and I consider myself fortunate to call him my friend (despite his love of golf). As I mentioned ages ago, he got engaged to the lovely Helen. Well, time has passed and this weeke […]
